I think I’m going to invest in some cheap watercolours so I can do little things like these. Working in gouache and acrylic is not easy when it comes to small stuff.

I like this more…
LOL, no, just doodled on the screenshot. I’m not going to record this one ‘cause I’m doing too many new things with it and if I try to record it, It’ll be too long and be too all over the place. So no video for this Sunday guys, sorry. But I promise this picture will look awesome. Even if I think Rosalind’s completely broken anatomy wise. X___XI don’t draw many ladies…

Star is on the wrong hand but whatever…!

I realise that any and all of the characters from Delirium will never look good in digital colour so I need to start doing ink washes of them. It’s a lot nicer, it fits the atmosphere of the comic better. Meant to be a quick work, nothing special.

OPEN FOR COMMISSIONS!

konirathax:

Hey guys, I’m started to ask for commissions again! Job hunting has been fruitless and since I’m currently in school, the debt is starting to add up. So all help is appreciated!

I’m offering single character commissions: basic lines, screentoned and now digital colouring!

The process is pencil sketch scanned into Photoshop and inked completely digitally. So a sketch can be sent to you for proof before the commission is worked on.

I don’t really have any don’ts, Just nothing 18+ rated, I will do bloody but not gory. Nude is fine as well as long as I’m comfortable with it. If it is an OC, references are required, you can send those along in an e-mail. I can do anthro and mechs but those 100% require refs.

I have ten slots open so if you or someone you know might be interested, please contact me at allybonne@sbcglobal.net, through my tumblr, at my deviantart account, konirathax.deviantart.com or through my facebook page

All payments are through paypal, once the payment is received, your commission will be in progress.

If you have any questions at all, please send me a message or e-mail. Thanks guys!

So this is like a painting I was suppose to finish like… a month ago? LOL I started it then wanted to let it rest - ‘cause I didn’t want to rush it - then I never had time to work on it. This is funnily enough one of the first things I did as a test transition from acrylic to gouache. This is sort of a play on some dialogue said from Treavor in the game. Him basically telling Corvo that after everything was done, he’d like Sokolov to paint a portrait of him - this time one without his brothers in it. I also imply with the emerald banner in the background that this is painted at Dunwall Tower. I wasn’t trying to mimic Sokolov’s “Style” but I just wanted to paint a portrait with gouache and that line of dialogue came to mind. But it was fun and it turned out alright, I don’t want to think about it anymore so to me, it’s finished. I need to learn how to paint in general before I really do anything like this again.

BOUMDRAWS.: Call for guest comics! -

karrey:

boumdraws:

You guys might know that the baby will be coming in a month or so (crazy, right!), so I’m doing a call for guest comics in hopes of having a tiny maternity leave! Just enough so Pierre-Luc and I can adjust to our new life!

Basically, you can submit your own anecdotes and draw yourself, or make up…

Get the chance to make cool guest comics for Boumeries. :)

I hope to see a lot of good ones, I’m really gonna try to do one for her.

Oh, this is a good comic, BTW. :D

I’ve always wanted to do one of these “tools of the trade” type photos. 1. Trusty chap-stick. <3 2. Reeves 24 set gouache set - LOVE LOVE LOVE these, so cheap too. I really recommend them if you want to use gouache but are worried about prices. 3. Higgins India Ink - I’m fine with this stuff for washes and such but as a lining in, not so much. The waterproof stuff was a dark grey, not a solid black.
4. Craft store acrylic paint - I’ve used stuff like this for a long time and I always love it. 5. Trusty music! 6. Tiny - now out of date - wacom bamboo pen & touch. - I love the size of my tablet, it never causes me any problems. I’d never buy a bigger one ‘cause I don’t see the point. 7. Assortment of brushes - I buy cheap brushes ‘cause I like them more. Cheap stuff is good too!
8. Random crappy sketchbooks! 9. Assortment of markers and liners - favourites are Prisma brush pens and Precise V5 and V7s. I also love big sharpies and I recent got a Faber-Castell 0.6 that I really like. 10. Trusty Staedlter erasers, we all know them. <3 11. Trusty cheap-o mechanical pencil. ;D You get me through the tough times.
12. Broken ruler. I lost the other half long ago… Broke exactly down the middle so I can measure six inches okay. LOL13*. Steady supply of instant tea - Arizona Green Tea to be exact14*. Photoshop 7, it’s like ten years old but I still love it!
I also have giant boxes of markers but I refuse to use them ‘cause I can’t replace any that run out. :P
I really do recommend those Reeves, though. They’re a good starter set and will last a long, long time since gouache. You can get them fairly cheap off of Amazon or DickBlick. I got mine through Amazon ‘cause the price was a bit better than DickBlick at the time. No magic here, just cheap stuff I manage to get once in a while.
